NIA Jaipur - Admission 2025, Fees, Courses, Placement, Ranking

NSDL e-Gov Scholarship is available for students pursuing undergraduate courses in BAMS. The scholarship program details are available on the website. Minimum 60% marks to be achieved in 10+2/12th standard to available the scholarship benefit. 

National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, offers undergraduate, post-graduate, and Ph.D. courses in various streams of Ayurvedic medicine. The courses include:

The courses offered, along with the eligibility criteria for selection at the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, are noted below: 

AYURVEDACHARYA – BAMS – UNDERGRADUATE COURSE

The duration of an undergraduate course in BAMS is for 5½ years. The total seat available in this program is 92, out of which 1 is reserved for Central Govt. nomination, 2 for foreign nationals, 10 for students from Southeast Asian countries, and 10 seats for girls and reservations for SC, ST, OBC, and PH as per the norms of the Government. 

Admission to the BAMS program is mainly based on the student's merit in the admission test conducted by the University. University uploads the notification of the entrance test to the BAMS program in the newspaper and website

The course fee for the BAMS program is Rs. 42,025/- during the first year and Rs. 1,36,285/-. The hostel fee for the students applying to the BAMS program will be charged extra, which is Rs. 7500/- for 3 years and Rs. 11250/- for the final year. BAMS students will get a stipend of Rs. 12684/- per month during their internship of one year. 

Ayurveda Vachaspati/Ayurveda Dhanwantary

The postgraduate program of Ayurveda Vachasapati is a program of 3 years duration. There are 14 subjects under this program, which include: 

Admission to the postgraduate program is based on the candidate's merit in the objective type entrance examination conducted by the University. The notification for the entrance test is being published in the newspaper and in the official website of the University. 

3 seats are reserved in the postgraduate program for candidates from BIMSTEC countries who ICCR sponsors through the Ministry of Ayush. 3 seats are reserved for South-East Asian countries and candidates in-service or belonging to SC, ST, OBC, and PH. 

The admission fees for the postgraduation program are Rs. 81750/- during the first year, followed by Rs. 54500/- during the 2nd year, and Rs. 54,500/- during the third year. The hostel charge for a year is Rs. 22500/- subject to availability. The monthly stipend that MD/MS scholars earn in the first year is Rs. 42,560/- followed by Rs. 45,600/- and Rs. 48640/- in consecutive years. The stipend also includes DA as per Government norms. 

The commencement of the post-graduation course starts on 1st March 2023. The theoretical and practical examination of the part I exam MD(Ay)/MS(Ay) is scheduled for the 3rd and 4th week of February 2023. 

Fellowship Programme Ph.D. – Ayurved Vidhyavaridhi

The fellowship program is awarded for 2 years. There are 14 postgraduate specialties available for the fellowship program. The University makes admission to the fellowship program after conducting screening tests and interviews. 

The fees for the Fellowship are Rs. 54,150/- for the 1st year and Rs. 41,550/- for the 2nd year. Hostel fees of Rs. 18000/- is charged extra per year.

Diploma Course in Ayush Nursing & Pharmacy

The Diploma course in Nursing and Pharmacy course at the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, is 2½ years. Candidates are selected based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination of the 12th standard. The fee for the Diploma course is 21,400/- for the first year. 

Panchakarma Course 

The Panchakarma course is 45 days at the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur. The selection process is based on seat availability and a first-come, first-serve basis. Admission to the Panchakarma course is 10 students per batch. The total course fees for the Panchakarma course are Rs. 15000/- with any TA/DA/stipend provision. 

National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, has announced the calendar of events on the official website about the admission process through the written entrance test.

The sequence of events scheduled for entrance and admission tests is as follows: 

The minimum eligibility to apply for BAMS at the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, is a 10+2 examination or equivalent with 50% marks. Admission to the BAMS program is made through the DSRRAU Entrance Test score. Candidates applying to MS & MD courses must hold a BAMS degree. Admissions to MS and MD are based on marks obtained in the NIA JPGET entrance examination. The minimum eligibility for applying for Ph.D. is to have MS or MD degree from a reputed University. Admission to Ph.D. is made based on scores obtained in the Entrance examination followed by a Personal interview. 

The application form for admission is available on the official website of the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur. The application form must be downloaded and filled in before submission to Registrar by postal or in person. The application form can also be submitted by email in pdf format. The steps involved in accessing and filling the application form are noted below: 

• Candidate has to log in to the account site with login details, if already registered, or by registering their credentials followed by login to the account. 
• Candidates require a Username, email, password, and verification code to register their credentials. 
• The candidate must visit the new application and click on apply after providing the course's academic year, code, and name. 
• Then, the candidate must click on enrolment forms followed by the apply option. 
• Candidate has to fill in their credential following details followed by clicking on Save & Continue:

  • Date of birth of the candidate 
  • Candidates mobile number
• The next step includes filling in the details of the guardians of the candidates. The details required for guardians include:
  • Father’s name

• Documents to be uploaded include photograph and signature in jpg format and should be less than 1MB..
• After successfully uploading all the documents, the application should be submitted. 
• Candidates can review the documents by downloading the application form. 
• The institute authority will verify the submitted application form. If any discrepancy is found or correction is required, the form will be moved to the correction section, with intimation to the candidate through the mail. 
• The candidate must log in to the registration site and make necessary corrections, as pointed out by approving staff. The form is to be re-submitted after making the necessary corrections. 
• The staff will re-verify the form and approve it once found to comply with all the requisites.  

The highest salary package for students at the National Institute of Ayurveda is 6.0 Lacs.  

The average salary package for students at the National Institute of Ayurveda is 4.8 Lacs.  

Admission to BAMS is made based on scores in the DSRRAU entrance examination. Admission to Postgraduate courses is made on the merit in the PG entrance examination of the objective type conducted by the University admission, and Ph.D. is granted through a screening test followed by an interview.

The institute's main campus is spread over 13 acres, with the best and most modern facilities. The ambiance of the institution is very peaceful and eco-friendly, which is ideal for Ayurvedic education. The institute has a wifi facility round the clock for students and the staff. The infrastructural facilities available at the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, have an excellent infrastructure with up-to-date technology, which include:

• Hostel

National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. There are even separate hostels for UG, PG, and Ph.D. students. All the hostel rooms are spacious and well-lit. Each hostel has a refrigerator, TV, water cooler, RO Water Purifier, etc., and all the latest equipment.

• Library

National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, has a vast and well-stocked library. The library has books on all subjects, including Ayurveda, Sanskrit, etc. There is also a massive stock of research books. There are separate reading rooms for the students with newspapers and recently published journals readily available. The total number of books in the library is 23360, with more and more books and journals added regularly. The library also has an audio and video unit with VCR, LCD Projector, Cassettes, and CDs on various academic topics.

• DDD

The Drug Discovery and Development Unit is a recent addition to NIA, Jaipur that conducts various researches on animals to keep up with advanced Ayurvedic research, keeping in mind the safety of the animals. 

• Pharmacy

The National Institute of Ayurveda has a highly sophisticated pharmacy that manufactures medicines with stringent and hygienic measures. The pharmacy uses the latest machinery and manufacturing of medicines using the latest protocols as outlined by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

• IT Centre

The IT Centre at NIA Jaipur has all facilities, including Broadband Internet with high-speed WiFi throughout the campus, Scanner, Printer, and up-to-date computers, for the convenience of the students and teachers alike. The IT Centre is an exchange of information center for the students and faculties.

• Manuscript Unit

An additional highlight of the infrastructural facilities at NIA Jaipur is the Manuscript Unit which serves as a reference center for the ancient Ayurveda.

• Auditorium 

NIA, Jaipur, boasts a 600-capacity airconditioned auditorium with modern audio and visual devices. The NIA auditorium is the hub of the institute's cultural events and workshops.

• Herbal Garden

The herbal garden at NIA Jaipur is one of the centers of attraction on the campus. The students vastly benefitted from the garden that houses more than 170 plants and herbs, including medicinal plants.

• Sports Complex

For the relaxation of students, there are provisions for various sports like cricket, volleyball, etc., throughout the campus. Sports activities are held throughout the year at the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, with a yearly sports fest.

• National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, released the vacancy notification on the official website with the names of rejected candidates due to several reasons from the applications received for the departments of Panchakarma Vaidya, Vaidya (Medical Officer), Library Assistant, and Junior Medical lab. Technologist, Multi-Tasking staff. 
• Application invited for Certificate course of Striroga Sthanika Chikitsawith course starting on 6th February 2022 for the first and 10th February 2022 for the second batch.
• Application invited for Skill Development Programme as Kshara Karma Technician course starting on 10th February 2022.
